Bell Let's Talk
Through ACDPN’s “Like Us” project, with the support of the Bell Let’s Talk Diversity Fund, we will provide culturally adapted mental health support to over 150 families. The project helps to demystify important health information and break down the stigma around mental illness, while offering pathways towards long-term supports for community members. By adapting ACDPN’s outreach to reflect linguistic and cultural diversity, more families will have the opportunity to find mental health support and community space that feels like home.
“There’s kind of a built-in sense of solidarity and trust when you can feel like the person providing help has walked a day in your shoes.”
Tania Callender, Executive Director
African Canadian Development and Prevention Network ACDPN
“It’s a very, very good program. We need to share what we are going through. We are not alone. We have a group, we have a family, and in that group, we are all connected.”
